Directions to Villas Langosta:

From San Jose:  Follow directions to Liberia Airport and continue below.  From San Jose allow 5 hours driving time.

From Liberia Airport:

Turn right when you exit the airport.  There are well marked signs for Tamarindo.  The total driving time is 45 minutes.  You will travel through towns called Filadelphia, Belen and Huacas.  After you enter Belen there is a 3 way intersection with a gas station in a small strip mall.  Turn right.  About 15 minutes later you will enter Huacas.  It is around 3 km from the top of a hill with a winding road.  When you enter Huacas there is a 3 way intersection.  Make a left and follow the signs to Tamarindo.  It is approximately 15 minutes to Tamarindo from this point.  You will enter Tamarindo and around 2 km into town you will turn left at the last intersection before the road ends.  Take your first right at the next 3 way intersection and continue straight for around 2 km.  You will bear to the right at the next intersection and continue for one more km.  The complex will be on your right.  Enter the parking area.  The management office is next to the gate.  If you arrive after 6:00 pm the key for the unit will be with the security guard.  It is very important that you notify the management office or owner if you plan to arrive after 6:00 pm.

Surfing:  I recommend Tamarindo Surf.  The owner, Jeff Harper lives downstairs from the Villa. 

Rental Car:  I like Dollar Rental.  They provide a shuttle from the airport.  Ask for Roger.  It is required to get insurance through the company despite having coverage at home.  It is wise to make reservations in advance during the winter months.

Driving:  The roads are now paved but there are no street lights and there are no shoulders.  The locals usually will not pay attention to the motorists so be cautious.
